Botanical Zen Surface Patten Design
Compositional pieces that was consider for a stationary surface pattern design project
These particular pieces focused on fine-lined details and the build up of textures without colour and strictly black and white
Sketches and Studies.
I was inspired by a series of sculptures from artist Yuanxing Liang.
I created a variation liner drawing inspired by her works.
My intention is now I have an idea of the composition I may work this into a larger scale artwork piece that can be more realised.
A Series of Bluebells in hand
I wanted to create a triptych piece that could be displayed as artworks together.
I had studied bluebells in my garden that had been intertwined with weeds in an interesting detailed way.
I photographed the overall look I wanted for each composition to be held up or presented.
These were then pencil studied and later re-worked digitally once I was confident in the liner works.
