“Greenhouse”
Inspired by window-sill gardening and utilitarian style,
Nature coming into our home lifestyles and becoming a part of hour living spaces. Educating the younger generations to have more conscious and consideration to the sustainable choices.
My aim for this range was to take on this mood through fabric and natural dye colour pallet. Whilst being influenced by the indoor greenhouse theme.
Prints and graphics inspired by these spaces that feel quite conscious.

“Creature Comfort”
Contemporary and re-purposeful, cosy pieces in organic fabrics that also have a tactile quality that can feel soft against the skin.
Comfort also achieved by the shapes selected and styling. The shapes themselves to be more versatile and can been seen throughout the season.
I wanted to focus more on a neutral colour palette that feels soft and visually comfortable. I didn’t want it to be too stereotyped in the pink and lilac selections instead to feel calm.
Inspired by cuddly plushes and playtime in the afternoon at home.

“Soft Retro”
Retro themes that feel contemporary and cosy whilst still remaining versatile and timeless. A mood of “ borrowed from the past”.
Inspired by home deco and a “Accidental Wes Anderson vibes.”
Warm in colours using burnt oranges and copper mixed with teals but with a “digital saturation” prints inspired by retro geo patterns but smaller scale.
Ive reworked vintage shapes into versatile blocks with design details that are more moved on in a modern way today. An example of this would be the contrast collars and pussy bow details. It is important getting the correct proportions and depths without making the garment look dated.

Older Girl
“Animal”
Thinking of how to move animal on for the next season.
Last season I felt we had a lot of bolder colour and animal flooding the market.
From what I had seen since I was then predicting and working with mixed animal prints in varying scales within the print.
More a return of more tonal animal print but details to be more inky and distorted to go alongside the tie died and marbled trends. The pattern itself to be more fluid and somewhat waving and dabbled in texture.
Fabrics with metallic flocking adding another layer of texture on chiffons and sheers.
“Distorted Lounge”
Looking into eroded and marbled textured prints, seeing the tie dye trends and thinking how it could move on more organically.
Carbon traced themes in very almost colourless palette of black and white with a bleached burn out tone.
I looked into loungewear and active shape and moved on the basics to have a featured detail.
I took cut out details to necklines and also twisted knot features at the waistlines.
Adding a draw cord on a couple of styles as I have seen this detail emerging.
Designed for older girl and teens, for the little sister who may look up to her bigger sister that wears atheleisure.

“Shimmer Party”
I had looked into a range of shapes I could see working previously in my girl wear party ranges but updated the details in more sleeve statements, higher necklines, and fabrics to be something that comes across “new or special”
A mix of flocking with velvets on sheers or shimmered foiling in golds and silvers, spotty and speckled but must have shimmer.
“Preppy “Back to School” Checks”
A range of checks in new shapes for preppy back to school vibes.
This range did look quite transitional and classic, so would update in new pops of colours in the grids.
The styling to be a mix of rib top and woven.
Sleeves to take more contemporary details of the puff and mutton sleeve cuffs to have volume at shoulders and skinnier towards wrists which proportionally I was looking to have the cuffs deepened and slim compared to more transition widths.
“Bohemian”
A range of dresses that takes on smock styling from mini-maxi.
Dropped hem, tiered panels in oversized shapes
Sleeves with shirring cuff details as key design features in a balloon and puff sleeve styling.
Looking at the trickle down from luxury catwalk collections from Ulla Johnson and translating it into girls wear.
Print designs in trending forecasted colours of “damson” and '“bloodstone” grounds with “ginger” and “AI aqua” accents
Floral design covering a variety of ditsy, mixed scale, placement and larger scale all over prints
“Seasonal Trend - Cherished”
This season I wanted to develop ranges more aware of the importance of sustainability.
These trends explore our urges to reconnect with nature and more organic aspects in life.
Embracing the outdoors and taking a vacation.
Give a break from the everyday to cherished the more precious moments in life.
Both romantic and a little kitsch as we travel through different destinations during the season, Exploring clothing that evokes emotion and mindfulness.
“Sunday’s Girl”
A weekend filled with much joy. Taking a break for the weekend to visit relatives for an occasion and whilst staying there she explore their botanical garden.
The aim of this range is to take those soft, romantic and delicate details.
Full of frills, lace and florals for Occasionally dressing.

“Farmers Market”
We are going on a picnic!
Kitch and fun, I wanted to use fruit conversational and the textures and colours seen around a farmers market.
Gingham picnic blanket checks with playful graphics to fit the mood. Organic colours and wholesome fabrics using cottons, Schiffli Laces and cotton satin.
Shapes mostly included day dresses.

“Ocean View”
A day at the beach, refreshed by the sea breeze
A vision of sisters on a day out strolling through sandy shores and collecting shells.
The range has nautical themes combined with ocean resort moods.
Organic shell and mineral tones mixed with cotton chambray styles.
This was a more easy wear high summer focus in breathable fabrics.

“Rosa Rosa”
I found that in the past seasons there would be a time I revisit newness on roses. This season they were on dark grounds and in deeper reds with pops of greens for the stems.
Checks and florals were being combined in that season for ladies wear with few of my clients enquiring, so I translated this into a version for children to give it some freshness as I was predicting this could trickle down.
Prints of Wales and herringbone check was working without pulling away too much from the classic floral motifs.
“Cosmic”
Initially I designed for “7-12 years” Range.
Mostly wanted to focus on prints and appliqué stitched placements on jersey and sweater styles.
I later thought these could also fit into some younger girl shapes I had been working on.
The prints and slogans started as doodles of galaxy’s and stars.
then I also developed badges for the bomber jackets and all over star prints. One scattered and one more bold and oversized.
“Garden Creatures”
A trend forecasted range I was working on to show case small delicate creature prints. A mix of motifs including butterflies, deers, foxes and cats.
toned down blues, pinks, neutrals and teals. Also tried a print in a mustard that’s was becoming increasingly popular at the time.
I focused this more towards younger girls, toddlers & Infants.
Shapes where inclusive of frills and peplums that I had seen working in the industry at the time through my shop reports.

“Rose Garden”
Spring Trend for Yumi looking at a mini range focused on classic roses but bringing some newness.
Large scale printed rosed in classic colours.
Jersey and light knitted tops with appliqué embroidery and print mix placements.
Key items like the skater dress working for them season after season added to the collection to source floral laces.
Mac raincoats also working for them at the Time,
made in transparent fabric with scattered rose detail and a pop of pink piping on the finishes
“Soft Pop Beach”
Working a very bold graphic “POP!’ Style print trend in summery outfits that can be work on resort.
The prints are to be very playful, graphic and blocky with strong colour.
Motifs of iced creams and lollies, along with fruity themes.
Inclusive of jumpsuits and playsuits. halter neck oversized bubble dress with pussy bow tie feature.
“Woodland Forest Stories”
I had worked on some autumnal trends forecasting at Yumi. This brief was to include an animal, so I looked at
woodland forest creature motifs.
I later returned to this trend and re-developed the products myself in a project.
Inclusive of day dresses with cardigans which could be layered up with blocked colour tights.
I also worked a tribalistic style fox placement which was stylistic at that time.
Colour palette - rust, mustard and pale pinks in dusty shades.
